Tree Service at Reunion Resort, FL
Reunion is a gated golf resort of about 2,200 acres off I-4, and a big share of its homes are short-term rentals owned by people who live elsewhere. We schedule tree work between guest stays and send owners photos when it is done.
Reunion Tree Service for a Gated Resort Community
Reunion is a resort and master-planned community in the Four Corners area of Osceola County, about 2,226 acres developed by the Ginn family with three golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson. The main way in is I-4 Exit 58 and County Road 532 to the gatehouse, and SR-429 meets I-4 just outside. Reunion Boulevard, Tradition Boulevard and Gathering Drive are the main internal roads, and I-4 actually splits the property, with an internal bridge tying the two sides together. Old Lake Wilson Road passes through as well.
Homes range from condos and townhomes to large estate houses, and many sit in a rental pool or are managed as short-term rentals. That changes how tree work gets done. Owners are often out of state or overseas, guests are in the house most weeks, and the property manager is the one who notices a broken palm frond over the pool.
Reunion Palm Tree Trimming and Resort Landscaping
Reunion's landscaping leans heavily on palms: queen palms around pool decks, tall Washingtonias along entries, sabal palms in clusters and some Canary Island date palms on estate lots. Palms need regular trimming to keep dead fronds and fruit off pool cages and patios, and that is the most common job we do here. Oaks and pines line the golf holes and the edges of the villages, and the laurel oaks that came in with the early villages are now getting large.
Like the rest of west Osceola, the ground is sandy and the water table rises quickly in the wet season. Ponds and drainage areas run between the golf holes and the villages. Trees planted on graded lots, especially next to irrigation and pool decks, often root shallow, which is part of why storm prep matters. Hurricane Ian in 2022 and the winds from Milton in 2024 reminded owners how quickly a single palm or oak can damage a screen enclosure.
Why rental homes need a tree schedule
A guest does not tell you when a frond is hanging by a thread over the hot tub. They just leave a review. For Reunion rentals we suggest a set routine: palms trimmed before the summer peak and again before hurricane season, oaks checked once a year for dead wood over decks and driveways, and any stump left from an old removal ground out so it is not a trip hazard in the yard. Property managers can book these as a standing visit, and we send the owner a short photo report each time so the condition of the landscape is on record.

Reunion Villages We Serve
- Heritage Crossing: condos and townhomes along the Palmer course, where trees sit close to buildings and parking.
- Homestead and Patriot's Landing: single-family homes, many in the rental pool, with palms around pool decks.
- Liberty Bluff and West Village Estates: larger lots with mature oaks and estate landscaping.
- Encore Club at Reunion: very large vacation homes where palm and oak work has to fit around frequent check-ins.
- Seven Eagles and Carriage Pointe: townhome areas with tight spacing and shared landscaping.
- Bear's Den: gated subdivisions inside Reunion, including a residential-only phase.
- Golf course edges: homes along the Nicklaus, Palmer and Watson courses with pines and oaks open to wind.
Reunion Tree Removal Around Guest Stays
We plan Reunion jobs around the rental calendar. Most owners want work done on turnover day or during an open gap, with the yard and pool area clean before the next arrival. We arrange gate access ahead of time, park so we do not block neighbors or shared drives, and send before-and-after photos to the owner and the manager. If a guest reports a fallen tree, the manager can call us directly and we will photograph damage for the insurance claim before we cut.
Electric service at Reunion is commonly Duke Energy, but confirm with your manager or bill. Any limb on a line is the utility's call first. Once the line is safe, we clear the rest of the tree and leave the pool deck and lanai swept so a cleaning crew is not left picking up leaves.
Reunion HOA and Osceola County Tree Rules
Reunion is unincorporated Osceola County, so the county Land Development Code applies, and the community's homeowners association and village sub-associations enforce their own architectural and landscape standards. We could not find published Reunion guidelines specific to trees, so assume removal or major changes to landscaping need association approval. Trees on golf course and common areas belong to the resort or the association, not the owner. Florida Statute 163.045 lifts the county permit requirement for a residential tree documented as a danger by an ISA certified arborist or Florida licensed landscape architect, but it does not override association rules. We check all of this on every estimate.

Reunion Tree Service Pricing for Owners
Remote owners pay the same rates as anyone else. Trimming runs $90 to $300 per palm, and many Reunion homes have six or more palms, so we price the whole property at once. Pruning an oak is $200 to $950 depending on size and clearance needs. A small tree removal is usually $350 to $900, a medium tree $900 to $1,900, and stump grinding $100 to $450. Our vacation rental tree care guide lays out a yearly schedule.
Reunion Tree Services We Offer
Most Reunion owners use our vacation rental tree service for routine visits and photo updates. That covers palm tree trimming, oak tree trimming and pruning, and hurricane tree prep before June. When a storm hits, emergency tree removal is available around the clock.

Questions
Questions About Tree Work in Reunion
Yes. Many of our Reunion clients live in other states or countries. We meet your property manager or arrange gate access, inspect the trees, and email a written estimate with photos. After the work, you get before-and-after photos. There is no extra charge for remote owners.
That is how we prefer to do it. Tell us your check-out and check-in times, or have your manager share the calendar, and we will plan the job for a turnover day or an open gap. The pool, deck and yard are cleaned before the next guests arrive.
Most queen and Washingtonia palms at Reunion need trimming once or twice a year, with a pass before hurricane season to remove dead fronds and heavy fruit stalks. Sabal palms can often go a bit longer. Over-trimming weakens palms, so we leave the green fronds and take only what is dead or hanging.
Plan on it. Reunion's homeowners association and village sub-associations enforce architectural and landscape standards, and removing a tree can change the lot's approved landscaping. We did not find published tree-specific rules, so ask your association or manager first. We can supply photos and a written scope for the request.
Trees on the golf courses and common areas belong to the resort or the association, not individual owners. If one of those trees threatens your home, report it to the resort or association. We work on trees on your own lot and can tell you if a neighboring tree looks risky enough to report.
Call our 24/7 emergency line. We secure the area, photograph the damage for your insurer before cutting, and remove the tree from the roof, pool cage or driveway. We keep you and your manager updated with photos so you can decide about guest bookings and repairs.
Prices are the same as anywhere else we work. Palm trimming is $90 to $300 per palm, oak pruning $200 to $950 per tree, and removals start around $350 for small trees. Because many Reunion homes have several palms, we usually price the whole property in one flat written estimate.
Yes, Reunion is gated, so contractors need to be cleared at the gatehouse. We arrange that with you or your manager before the visit, using whatever system your village uses. Giving us the details ahead of time keeps the crew from waiting at the gate.
